Do you have an original recipe that contains honey, which you would like to share with North Cascade Beekeepers (NCB)?
North Cascade Beekeepers belongs to Washington State Beekeepers Association(WASBA). As this is NCB’s first full year as a WASBA group member, we are striving to be recognized by WASBA for Small Club of the Year 2026! In order to be recognized as a WASBA small club of the year, there are various fun things we can do collectively to create points, which once calculated, the winning club will be awarded $250.
Being the creative and wonderful group NCB is, one of the things we would love to do and counts towards points is to make an North Cascade Beekeepers Honey Cookbook!
Per WASBA, this is what we need to do: “WASBA Cookbook – Recipes containing honey. Do not submit recipes copied from commercially published sources. It is recommended that recipes be original or
originate from family members. a. 2 points – for every receipt submitted by club members (include the club member’s name so credit can be given if published). b. No more than ten recipes per club for a maximum of 20 points.”
So lets help North Cascade Beekeepers make a Honey Cookbook! Remember – recipe needs to be original not copied from a commercially published source. As noted in WASBA instructions, no more than 10 recipes will be entered in our cookbook which will be submitted to WASBA. We will consider the first 10 recipes submitted to NCB for submission in the final North Cascade Beekeepers Honey Recipe Book.
Requirement to submit recipes: 1) You must be a member of North Cascade Beekeepers – not a member? Join Us CLICK HERE – it’s free! 2) Limit is 1 (one) recipe entry per household. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR RECIPE: when you click on contact: northcascadebeekeepers.com, after entering in your name and contact information, you can then type your recipe or copy and paste it, sorry at this time no media (photo) allowed. Send you recipe to: contact: northcascadebeekeepers.com. The first ten (10) recipes received will be considered for this WASBA contest. North Cascade Beekeepers deadline for recipe entry is August 1, 2026. We will have a dedicated website page to display all recipes sent in, at North Cascade Beekeepers Admin’s discretion.
