WHAT: Come learn and check on our educational hives, general beekeeping inspection AND lets do mite treatments! Lets also talk about European Foul Brood (EFB) and American Foul Brood (AFB). EXCITING NEWS -> EFB test kits have been ordered and should be available on this date for North Cascade Beekeepers (NCB) members. There will be a limited amount of AFB test kits also available for NCB members. All levels of beekeepers and wannabee beekeepers welcome!
QUESTIONS:
What should I bring on the Learning Apiary Day? You will need to bring your own bee gear (veil/gloves). NOTE: There will be a limited amount of gear/veils/gloves available upon request.
Do I have to be a member of NCB to participate in Learning Apiary Days? Yes. NOTE: Forget to join prior to coming to event, don’t worry, you can join NCB on site. NCB is your Whatcom County Beekeeping group which does not charge $ for dues, we are operated by 100% dedicated volunteers.
